AIMC’s ‘Muntasir’ to release on International Men’s Day

"Muntasir" wants to show that sexual assault has no gender

Asian Institute of Media and Communication Bangladesh (AIMC) has taken the initiative of “Film Production by Women Filmmakers of Bangladesh” as part of its 10th anniversary.

The first production of this program is "Muntasir", which will release on International Men's Day, said a press release issued on Tuesday.

"Muntasir" is a narrative about the sexual abuse of men and talks about gender discrimination. While most usually refer to women or girls being subjected to sexual harassment or assault, there is more reality than that. Men also confess to being tortured.

The purpose of "Muntasir" is to portray men as human beings. Men endure trauma and sexual harassment just like women do and "Muntasir" wants to show that sexual assault has no gender.
