PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAM

The Professional Diploma Programs at the Asian Institute of Media and Communication Bangladesh (AIMC) are designed to provide intensive, hands-on training across various fields of media and communication. Each program is structured over one year, divided into three academic terms followed by a final term dedicated to a comprehensive, real-world project. Throughout the year, students engage in rigorous coursework, with each term comprising a minimum of 12 credits. The final term is focused on a significant 12-credit project, allowing students to apply their learning in a professional setting.

In total, the diploma program encompasses 39 credits, offering a well-rounded education that combines creativity with industry-relevant skills. Term 1:

1.              Introduction to Public Relations (4 Credits)

2.              Strategic Communication (4 Credits)

Developing communication strategies that align with organizational goals.

3.              Media Relations (4 Credits)

Techniques for building and maintaining relationships with the media.

 

Term 2:

4.              Crisis Communication (4 Credits)

Managing communication during crises to protect and restore an organization’s reputation.

5.              Digital PR Strategies (4 Credits)

Utilizing digital tools and platforms for effective public relations.

6.              Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in PR (4 Credits)

Integrating CSR into PR strategies to build brand trust and loyalty.

 

Term 3:

7.              PR Writing and Content Creation (4 Credits)

Crafting press releases, speeches, and other PR materials.

8.              Event Management and PR (4 Credits)

Planning and executing events as part of a PR strategy.

9.              Measurement and Evaluation in PR (4 Credits)

Assessing the effectiveness of PR campaigns through metrics and analysis.

 

Term 4:

10.           Final PR Campaign Project (12 Credits) –

A comprehensive project where students develop and present a full PR campaign, including strategy, content, and evaluation.
